General

We're glad you decided to renew your code credentials with us! While you are here, there are a few things we'd like you to know:
  • You must register yourself for the course.
  • You or your company must pay for the course during the enrollment process (please contact us for group pre-payments).
  • You must take the course by yourself, for yourself.
  • For security reasons, do not share your login credentials with anyone.
  • Although we will sent the results of the course to DPOR, we recommend that you keep the course certificate as proof of your completion.

Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us; we will never sell, rent, or give away your personal information that you entrust to us.

What We Keep

To improve our website, we record IP addresses and the pages that are visited from that IP in our server logs.

When you register to take courses with CodeUpdate4U.com, we will ask for your full name, postal address, e-mail address, tradesman card number, trade(s), and the answer to one (1) of four (4) challenge questions.

PayPal is our online payment processor. When you pay for a class with us, your personal information is routed through their servers; we do not retain any credit card information, only that your payment was successfully processed.

What We Do With It

After you pass the test, we send your name, address, and tradesman number will be sent to DPOR along with your final test grade (this is a DPOR requirement to get course credit). We will maintain a record of your test scores and certificate for at least one year from the date of completion, but not more than 24 months.

We will keep your registration information in our systems for five (5) years from the date you completed your last course, unless you ask us to remove it sooner.

We aren't going to sign you up for any email or snail mail junk. We may, however, send you an email and/or postcard once every two years to remind you when it's time to review the code changes once again.

Limitation of Liability

While we make every effort to have a clean, fast, well-oiled machine running here on CodeUpdate4U.com. However, due to the nature of the Internet, we cannot guarantee that you will always be able to reach out site, nor can we be held responsible for anything bad that may befall your computer while using our site.

Payments & Refunds

CodeUpdate4u.com uses PayPal to process payments. You can use this service with or without an account. We accept all major credit cards and direct PayPal payments through this service. Should you not be satisfied with any aspect of your course, please contact us at info@codeupdate4u.com to discuss your situation.

We regret having to post this section in our policies, but due to recent non-payment issues we've had to put these items in writing...

If you complete your course, obtained your certificate, and we reported your completion status to DPOR, our service to you is considered complete. If the payment to us is subsequently reversed, disputed, or in any way revoked you are still liable for the cost of the course(s). Interest of 5% per month (minimum of 1 months interest, compounded monthly) will be charged on the full amount of the course(s) plus any fees incurred as a result of the chargeback. Interest will start on the date of the reversal until the debt is satisfied in full.

Changes and Termination

From time to time, we may need to update these policies. We'll post any and all changes here, along with the effective date.
